THE BLIND PHONE MASTER
FRONTLINE BEGINNING
L.A. Williams started at Dealer Synergy as a frontline analyst. He brought over a decade of automotive sales experience with him from day one.
PHONE SALES TALENT
His natural ability on the phone stood out immediately. Management noticed he was closing deals that others could not.
RAPID ADVANCEMENT
He moved up fast. His results spoke for themselves and he climbed from analyst to Vice President and became an official company partner.
THE BLIND PHONE MASTER
The industry knows him by this name. L.A. has been blind for over 35 years and turned what some might see as a limitation into his biggest strength.
SOUND ANALYSIS EXPERTISE
Without visual distractions, L.A. hears everything. He picks up on tone, inflection, pacing, and word choice that most people miss completely.
THE ULTIMATE PHONE COACH
He can tell exactly what is wrong with your phone game just by listening. This makes him one of the most effective phone sales coaches in the automotive industry.
Training Excellence
L.A. has trained thousands of automotive professionals across the country, from sales consultants and BDC representatives to managers and dealer principals. His “Blind Phone Master’s Phone Sales Mastery” strategies have revolutionized how dealerships approach phone conversations with potential customers.
As an NADA Convention speaker and frequent presenter at automotive 20 Groups, including the official Internet Sales 20 Group, L.A. shares his expertise with the industry’s top professionals. He is also the official co-host of the globally recognized Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast and serves as a moderator for the Millionaire Car Salesman Facebook Group, which connects thousands of automotive sales professionals worldwide.
His hands-on approach to leadership means that despite his executive title, he remains deeply involved with all aspects of Dealer Synergy’s programs, ensuring clients receive the highest quality training and support.
Music and Entertainment Career
Beyond his automotive expertise, L.A. is an accomplished music producer who has worked with major artists in the industry. His production credits include tracks for renowned artists such as Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, and Katy Perry, showcasing his versatility and talent across industries.
His voice acting talents have also taken him to Hollywood, where he notably provided the voice for the character Jigsaw in four of the SAW films. This exceptional background in audio production allows him to bring a unique form of “entertrainment” to the automotive industry, creating motivational and engaging remix tracks that resonate with sales professionals.
The combination of his musical background and sales expertise creates a distinctive approach to training that makes complex concepts both memorable and enjoyable for participants.
Educational Pioneer
L.A.’s academic achievements are as impressive as his professional ones. He graduated with a degree in audio engineering from Full Sail University, making history as the first blind individual to complete this program. To this day, he remains the only totally blind certified ProTools operator in the world a testament to his determination to excel regardless of challenges.
His passion for sound analysis began at an early age, having played musical instruments since he was seven years old. This lifelong dedication to understanding and working with audio has given him unique insights that he applies to both his music production and sales training methods.
At just ten years old, L.A. contributed his expertise to the development of the BrailleMate, a groundbreaking product for the blind. This early experience demonstrated his natural ability to identify needs and create effective solutions skills that continue to define his approach to business.
Personal Journey
L.A. Williams was born and raised in North Philadelphia. Though born with glaucoma, he could see for the first three years of his life and could distinguish colors before he was two. On his third birthday, after his twelfth surgery, he lost his sight completely. While initially challenging, his resilience became evident when he quickly adjusted and returned to being an energetic, active child.
His parents never treated him differently because of his blindness, which he credits for developing his “no excuses” mindset. Growing up, L.A. defied expectations by riding his bike through the neighborhood and even excelling at video games against sighted friends and family members. He attended Overbrook School for the Blind but never limited himself to conventional expectations for visually impaired individuals.
Today, L.A. has created a rich family life. He has a large extended family with two older sisters, one younger brother, and two younger sisters. He is married to the love of his life, Naimah Moore (now Williams), who is also part of the Dealer Synergy family, and is a proud father to his son Jeremiah, whom he describes as “super smart and handsome.”
Competitive Spirit
A passion for excellence runs deep in L.A.’s character. He describes himself as “super competitive” and often spontaneously declares “I want to win!” His personal definition of winning “to succeed with difficulty” reflects his approach to life’s challenges and explains why he has accomplished so much despite obstacles that might have deterred others.
From an early age, L.A. demonstrated confidence and the willingness to speak up when he had something valuable to contribute. As he puts it, “I was one of those kids that grown folks did not mind being in their business. I guess that is why I never had a problem with confidence. I believe in speaking up, especially if you are going to bring something intelligent to the table.”
This mindset has fueled his success across multiple industries and continues to inspire those who work with him at Dealer Synergy.
Philanthropy
L.A. firmly believes that “in order to be blessed, you must first be a blessing.” This philosophy guides his approach to giving back. He regularly contributes to Pencils of Promise, a non-profit organization dedicated to building schools and increasing educational opportunities in developing countries.
He also supports “Help Because You Can,” the nonprofit organization founded by Sean and Karen Bradley, and contributes to various causes that catch his attention, particularly those focused on helping children and educational development.
His commitment to philanthropy reflects his understanding that success comes with responsibility, and his desire to use his resources and platform to create positive change extends far beyond the automotive industry.
Leadership Philosophy
L.A.’s approach to leadership is defined by his life experiences and the unique perspective he brings to every situation. He lives by the principle that family extends beyond blood relations, saying, “I have found family is WAY more than just blood. To me, there is a difference between relatives and family.”
This inclusive philosophy informs how he builds and leads teams at Dealer Synergy, creating an environment where people feel valued and supported. His ability to listen literally and figuratively to what others need makes him an exceptional mentor and guide for those looking to develop their skills.
By focusing on what people can do rather than what they cannot, L.A. models the kind of positive, solution-oriented mindset that helps dealerships transform their approach to sales and customer service.
